Green_skirt
This is the skirt I whipped up just in time to go back to work, it seriously only takes a good day of sewing. So for me, that's about 3 on maternity leave. And these days? Don't ask. Days too long. It's from McCalls pattern M4519, and I've used Ikea fabric. I actually think that it's upholstery fabric. I've also used wooden buttons, because that's just what it needed.

Meanwhile, back at the ranch, I'm trying to get Oscar to sleep without being swaddled. Has anyone else had this problem? He's almost a year old, and as soon as we don't swaddle him he just stands up and plays and carries on - however, our family day carer, Nancy, can do it every time. He just doesn't stand up when she puts him to bed! He says he does not know...

Hi, I'm a family day carer...and well I know what you mean.

It's different for us...when they start with us it's all new, fresh and no habits (good or bad) are formed. So we get to start with a clean slate...

It's a lot harder for you because not only to you have to undo something, but you have to build a new set of behaviours.

He'll get there, stick with it.

Very cute skirt, I love the fabric.
Good luck with Oscar, I'm sending "sleepy-time vibes." ;)
